The San Sebastian Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-Production Forum updates the project selection for its upcoming edition

The project Helado y patatas fritas, initially selected to participate in the forum, has ultimately withdrawn from the programme. It will be replaced in the official selection by El hombre que siempre existió.

The new project portrays Copeiro and Elin, a couple who have spent 40 years investigating the identity of a mysterious corpse linked to one of the most famous espionage operations of the Second World War. What began as a hobby became an obsession that took them across Europe in search of archives and testimonies, leading them to question the official version of events.

Following this change, the team behind The Man Who Always Existed will present their documentary at Tabakalera on 23 September, to producers, broadcasters, platforms and other industry agents, with the aim of boosting their financing and/or co-production.
