Sixteen documentaries selected to be presented at the 21st Lau Haizetara Forum in San Sebastian
The Lau Haizetara forum, a key platform for signature documentaries, has announced the projects selected for its 21st edition, to be held from 22 to 24 September 2025 as part of the 73rd San Sebastián festival.
With a record-breaking 150 entries, this year’s edition cements its place as one of the leading documentary film events. The projects selected, from countries including Spain, Peru, Argentina, the USA, the United Kingdom and Germany, stand out for their artistic quality, social focus and international profile, a distinctive trait of this forum.
New for 2025: Euroregional Prize
This year, as well as the prizes regularly awarded, there will be a 2025 Euroregional Documentary prize, worth €6,000, to support creative work in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Basque Country and Navarre. A specific jury will choose the winner from among the three finalists already selected.
The teams selected will present their work to producers and financiers on 24th September at Tabakalera, in search of funding and/or co-production opportunities.
