The 22nd Lau Haizetara San Sebastian Documentary Co-Production Forum will be held on September 21, 22, and 23 as part of the 74th San Sebastian Film Festival.
This Forum offers an ideal space to present a documentary project to potential funders and experts in the audiovisual and film sectors. It is a meeting point for industry professionals linked to the documentary genre.
The forum has three main phases: Workshops, Pitching Sessions, and Individual Meetings.

Workshops
The workshops are a training activity
The Pitching Preparation Workshops are a mandatory training activity that gives selected producers and directors the opportunity to work on their documentary. In the case of a co-production and/or co-direction, one producer and one director per project will attend.
They take place over the two days preceding the forum (September 21 and 22). They offer producers the opportunity to develop their projects with professional experts who will provide the appropriate tools to maximize their potential.
Pitching
Pitching Sessions
It will take place on the morning of September 23, 2026, at Tabakalera, where producers will present their projects to a panel of prominent Commissioning Editors. The session will be moderated by an expert in the field and simultaneous interpretation will be provided. Projects may be presented in Spanish or English, and each project presentation will last 7 minutes (including the teaser, which must be presented in the original version with English subtitles).
The schedule for the pitching session will be published in September through the programme of activities, which will be accessible via this same website.
Meetings
Individual Meetings
On the afternoon of September 23, the program will include a schedule of one-on-one meetings between the Commissioning Editors and representatives of the presented projects, with the aim of finalizing potential collaboration agreements.
Each meeting will last approximately 15 minutes and will be pre-arranged.
